I Love Playing Real Money Way Better
I love playing poker when there is money involved more than I do love playing poker for free, and I think many poker fans would agree with me on that.
When I play poker for free, I do not see much point in it. It seems boring to me because my guts are not put to the test.
I also could not use the same strategies that I use in playing real money poker, because the scenario is very much different from that. You need to understand that I could not make my poker opponents fold because they could not get scared. After all, why should they be scared? We are just playing real money, we have nothing to lose.
Because we have nothing to lose, we also have nothing to gain. So you see, there really is not much point in playing free poker games.
However, when I play online poker, I play using play money. Why? It is because I am new to online poker and I need to first get familiar with it before playing with stakes. But when I am finally done with this familiarization stage, I am definitely going to play some serious real money poker.
I love real money poker because I experience more thrills in that. I also like to see people get scared when I raise or reraise the bets. Therefore, I can say that real money poker is indeed more dramatic.
However, if you are a newcomer, then you better play free poker first. This is why I agree to play free poker with my friends because they are beginners. They need more practice. After all, I think I would profit from that in the future, because there will be more of my friends who will know how to play poker. Hence, I will have more poker opponents in the future. In the mean time, I will just have to bear playing free money poker.
There are some of my friends who I know have gotten past that newcomer stage, but still are afraid to play real money poker. This bugs me because they keep on insisting to play free money poker with me. I do not give in to their begging because I know that they are capable of playing real money poker. Playing free poker with them would only be a waste of time and effort.
For me the goal of playing free poker is to move up to real money poker. SO, do not get stuck to free poker games. Know when it is time for you to brave the challenges of real money poker.
